PINKPONILO is a sewing and fashion studio, established in 2016 with the aim to promote self-made clothing and to raise awareness of the damaging effects of the fast fashion industry.
Viki, Vera and Anna, the ladies behind the community sewing studio will help you learn the secrets of fabric cutting, pattern work, fitting and how to work with the most common sewing techniques.
Their love for sewing and passion for unique and sustainable design will be a great opportunity to create and sew your own sustainable wardrobe.
You will have the chance to work with a soviet Tula machine from 1961, a modern, digital Bernette, or a Veritas from the 1980s.
Also, you will spend a month in their headquarter, the amazing Paloma house hidden in downtown Budapest. The building holds many secrets and today is a shared showroom space which aims to promote Hungarian contemporary design and fine arts.
The name PINKPONILO (Pink Ponies) comes from the fact that Anna collected more than 200 pieces during the years. These lovely creatures serve as decoration in the studio and give the space a unique look and feel.
The main mission of the studio is to experiment with reusing textiles, continuously thinking about new fashion techniques and zero waste possibilities.
If you choose this dream the Pink Pony ladies will help you change the way you look at your clothes.
Fashion is the second most polluting industry on Earth, right behind oil. Be part of the movement that wants change in the fashion industry and lead by example with your very own sustainable garderobe.

“It’s beautiful here. They said that of course, that Budapest is beautiful. But it is in fact almost ludicrously beautiful.”
Anthony Bourdain
Budapest counts as one of the most beautiful cities in Europe. You can explore the World Heritage site of Buda castle, visit amazing old churches and squares, take a long walk through beautiful avenues and have a look at the city from the breathtaking bridges.
Split by the Danube river Buda is a quieter, hilly area – a peaceful heaven while Pest has a vibrant nightlife and atmosphere.
